From an early age, JT always showed a mix of creativity, artistry, and curiosity (he's a natural "lefty"). He questioned everything. That lead him to a love of design and problem solving, particularly related to branding, web development, interactive media, and typography.

Though most of his skills are self-taught, JT received further education from The Art Institute of Houston in the Web Design & Interactive Media program.

He got his start in the design industry creating and producing vinyl graphics for fleet vehicles. You can still see his work around Houston today on trucks and vans for WCA Waste, AAA Plumbing, Roadrunner Moving, and Mueller Water Conditioning. While still a full-time student, JT worked for Glazers Distributors where he designed and produced print layouts for banners, posters, table-tents, and menus—working on campaigns for such brands as Smirnoff, Makers Mark, EFFEN Vodka, and Jim Beam.

JT has an extensive background in User Experience (UX) design and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) for web. Prior to joining Forthea, he spent six years concentrating exclusively in these areas of digital marketing.

JT joined the Forthea team in early 2018 to lead our Website Design + Development department. He takes pride in delivering elegant, custom web solutions for our clients and thrives on solving complex problems creatively to satisfy both client and user goals. JT has also helped us implement and grow our CRO service offering, applying his expertise and experience to new processes and standards.

Outside of work, JT can be found leading the Forthea kickball team, enjoying live music, exploring the architecture of a new city, or playing with his adorable tuxedo cat, Annie. He also has a deep love of all things sports, especially when it comes to the Oklahoma Sooners or Kansas City Royals.
