Erik Whaley is a seasoned digital marketing executive with over 20 years of experience leading operational strategy, implementation, client services, and team development for high-growth marketing agencies. As Vice President of Operations at Forthea, Erik drives the agency’s performance and scalability by aligning internal teams, streamlining processes, and ensuring excellent execution across the agency's departments and service offerings.
Before joining Forthea, Erik held executive roles where he oversaw account growth and retention for a portfolio of Fortune 500 brands. One of his most notable roles was his 17-year commitment as COO at Location3, an international digital marketing agency specializing in franchise and multi-location businesses.
Erik builds scalable environments that power exceptional client outcomes and sustainable agency growth. He has experience in almost every role in an agency, which brings a unique perspective and blend of strategic vision with operational discipline.
Previously, Erik studied marketing at the University of Colorado and holds an Executive Certificate in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. He has been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine for his work in local SEO, in addition to other accomplishments throughout his career.
Erik is a Colorado native, where he lives with his wife and three children and enjoys spending time outdoors or at local sporting events. Since joining Forthea, he has made Houston his part-time home and enjoys navigating the city during his monthly visits.
