The Director of SEO is responsible for the SEO strategy formulation. He/she also contributes heavily to the growth of business’s online marketing campaigns and works closely with the SEO department and the Director of Search Marketing in developing and implementing appropriate online marketing strategies for client’s websites.
This role will also be responsible for the creation, implementation, and analysis of SEO programs and campaigns. He/she plays a lead role in all off-site and on-site SEO projects.
The Director of SEO also helps to spearhead the activities of the SEO department and helps to supervise SEO Leads and the entirety of the SEO department. At this capacity, the Director of SEO is also accountable for the performance of initiatives of the SEO department. The Director of SEO also sets quarterly and yearly SEO department performance targets and ensures that all content campaigns are ran within the given budgets and deadlines.
The Director of SEO also plays a mentorship role to the SEO Leads and the Senior SEO Specialists by guiding them in the execution of their functions upon request, constantly ensuring improvement in their professional skills.
