Purpose

We are looking for a talented and results-driven Marketing & PR Manager to play a key role in building our digital marketing agency’s brand equity, supporting lead generation, and generating significant and qualitative PR coverage. You will partner directly with the Corporate Marketing Director to implement the agency’s overall marketing and public relations initiatives to support our strategic growth goals.

Marketing Responsibilities

  • Work with the corporate marketing director to design marketing and communication programs to promote the agency’s brand, digital marketing services (SEO, PPC, Analytics), and thought leadership.
  • Strategize with the corporate marketing director on a multi-tactic marketing annual plan and quarterly campaigns that will help carry out the digital marketing agency goals for new client business, including assisting in the building strategic go-to-market plans for key industry targets.
  • Execute all aspects of marketing outreach programs; strategies must employ a multi-touch approach integrating channels such as website, webinars, email marketing, content, direct mail and tradeshows.
  • Execute a tier-based approach to ABM programs to scale, including list criteria and management, audience building, target messaging, design and content creation including A/B variations, platform management (marketing automation) and reporting campaign KPIs, engagement and conversion rates.
  • Develop lead flow strategies to move prospects through the lead cycle and optimize funnel velocity through collaboration of cross-functional marketing and sales teams, as well as outline appropriate qualification criteria and triggers for engagement.
  • Oversee engagement campaigns, including email marketing and post-event follow-up to help further qualify marketing leads and re-activate cold leads and opportunities.
  • Track and report on marketing campaign KPIs and Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL) delivered to overall business and sales team.
  • Analyze key metrics to understand overall marketing program and each campaign’s effectiveness.

 

Public & Media Relations

  • Build and nurture relationships with marketing industry media and press outlets, as well as local, regional and national business and general media and press.
  • Prepare and disseminate communication content, such as press release and online/social media-related content and posts to external press and media outlets/audiences.  Ensure content distributed promotes the digital marketing agency’s services, differentiators and capabilities, including: client case studies, whitepapers, digital services blog topics and social media content that are relevant to key client target audiences (CMO, Marketing Practitioners, CEO/CFOs).
  • Working in collaboration with a wide variety of internal subject matter experts on thought leadership content around digital marketing services.
  • Collect, prepare, and disseminate information regarding digital marketing agency’s brand, services, industry expertise, and thought leadership to local press and media outlets to garner earned media coverage.
  • Respond to requests for information from the press and media, working directly with the corporate marketing director, as well as clients’ success stories and achievements, to ensure that press/media-related opportunities are handled properly.

 

Additional Marketing Support

  • Events: Drive the planning and execution of the digital agency’s special events, including lunch & learns, client events, and client advisory board.
  • Conferences: Negotiate and coordinate digital marketing and target client industry events and sponsorship to promote the digital marketing agency in order to attract new clients.
  • Assist in developing marketing and communications presentations.
  • Assisting with marketing research, as needed.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in marketing communications, public and media relations, advertising, and event planning and execution.
  • Existing editorial and reporter contacts within the business and general market media and press at local regional and national levels.  Marketing industry press and media experience a plus.
  • Proven experience in project management and relationship development.
  • Proven writing skills with an understanding of AP style.
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet agreed upon project deadlines essential.
  • Strong ability to acquire, analyze, and organize data.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation and email platforms a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications, marketing, advertising required.
