It’s been a good year for us folks at Forthea, especially when it comes to the recognition our Houston digital marketing agency received for leadership and business excellence.
Most recently our president, Christopher Pappas, was honored by the Houston Business Journal as a member of its 40 Under 40 Class of 2013, which profiles top young business leaders in the area “who contribute to their companies, industries and community in an impressive way.”
But the nod to Chris was only the capstone in a series of recognitions for us this year. We also made HBJ’s list of 2013 Best Places to Work, its Houston Fast 100 list of fastest growing companies, and its list of Largest Houston-Area Advertising Agencies.
Of course, we don’t need any acknowledgement to appreciate that Forthea has a special kind of leader at the helm. However, as he usually does, Chris was quick to point out that individual accomplishments should always be viewed through the lens of team success.
“It’s flattering to receive recognition that shines the spotlight on me,” Chris said. “But, as with the other recognitions, I believe it speaks to our achievement as a group. It justifies the faith we have in our core values and the trust we have in each other.”
Nick Lindauer, our vice president of operations, also had a few things to say about the various accolades we received this year. While obviously happy with our growth and success as a company, Nick let us know that he considers the Best Places to Work award to be our highest achievement.
“Being recognized as a best place to work in one of the largest cities in the nation reveals a lot about our company,” Nick told us. “It speaks to a whole host of qualities, including the value of our people, the merit of our culture, the strength of our client relationships, and the collective drive we have to achieve excellence in all areas of our business.”
Naturally, that pat on the back was followed up by a gentle reminder that success isn’t so much achieved as it is sustained.
“Being a best place to work in Houston is something that we earn, and re-earn, each and every day,” Nick said.
We’re right there with you, Nick.
